Add too many personal details

You want your resume to be a personal reflection of who you are an employee. It shouldn’t dig too far to personal details. There is no recruitment manager who will care about your marriage status, what club you attend in high school, or other irrelevant details. Don’t forget that resume is a professional document.

Instead of writing generic information or not important, include a summary of a short resume that tells all recruiters about your most relevant work skills and experience. This can tell recruiters about who you are as an employee at a glance.

Using a cliché

It may be tempted to use a cliché to save time on the writing of the resume. However, recruitment is likely to have read dozens of applications in front of you. Being specific about your skills will be far more useful in the long run than relying on old phrases that are tired like “the best in class” or “team players.”

Beautify your work experience

You never want to master your experience in your resume. Even if you think it will initially impress the recruitment manager who is sufficient to call you for the job interview, your experience will be clear during the interview, if not as soon as you are employed.

Add your GPA when applying for a senior position

If you have a little or no work experience and you have just graduated with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, then it’s okay to add your GPA to your resume education department. High GPA can show off dedicated work ethic.

However, if you apply for a senior position in the company, then the best is to leave it. Recruiters will be far more interested in your newer work experience and leadership skills than old academic achievements.

Forgot to correct

You don’t want to work hard on the resume just to be rejected because of a simple typical error. Always correct your resume for spelling and grammar errors before you send it.
