In compiling a list, we take into account very positive and positive feelings towards the profession and arrange it in a decline.
Look.

Let’s look closer to our losers.
Booby’s prize for the most hated profession is given to politicians, with only 57% positive sentiment, followed by an insurance broker, with 59%. In third place together came the priests, influencers, and weapons/weapons sellers, with 64%.
Why exactly this profession is considered the worst? They share an element of controversy. Work aspects that trigger negative feelings. And in the case of priests and influencers, there may be perceptions that it is not a “real” job. In addition, there are negative stereotypes (insurance brokers to become aggressive sellers) or ethical problems (selling weapons).
But a bad attitude towards certain professions is not universal, and some demographic differences also arise.
- Respondents who tend to be independent of hating politician Most, with a negative sentiment of 19%, compared to 6% for Democrats. Also, those who do not have a bachelor’s degree do not like politicians twice as many (holders of the master degree of 17% vs. negative sentiment 8%.
- Republican and Independent parties are less liked priestHas more negative attitudes of 16%and 14%, respectively, compared to Democrats, 5%.
- Doctor Not liked almost three times more by those aged 26-40 than those aged 25 or younger, 11% vs. 3%.
- Babysitter Most hated by those who produce $ 25,000 or less (15%), compared to those that produce $ 50,000-75,000 or more (4%).

- Company CEO Nearly three times more hated by low recipients (less than $ 49,999 per year) compared to higher recipients ($ 50,000 – $ 75,000 per year and more), 13% vs. 5%.
Now let’s focus on the winners of the most loved job degree.
Doctors and teachers take the first place, scoring 74%. The dentist was followed in second place, winning 72%, followed by nurses, 71%.
As you can see, the ranking is dominated by health care. Stereotypes are strengthened in pop culture work for this. Just look at TV shows. Anatomy Gray, a good doctor, MD house, or personal practice are only a few of the shows that present health professionals as heroes.
Not to mention Pandemi, who buy medical professionals in the future as a savior of the community.
This is a highly respected and doubtful job, very helpful and socially meaningful. Can we imagine the world without influencers ?? Yes. But we can’t imagine life without health professionals.
There are also some interesting separation in opinions depending on demographics:
- Doctor and teacher is the most loved profession according to women and men. But while women have the same sentiment for both jobs (71%), men tend to love teachers more than doctors (78%vs 77%).
- Those who get $ 75,000 or more Doctor Most, 83%.
- Telemarketer Most valued by people aged 25 or younger, 78%, compared to 26-40 years and 41 or more, respectively, 66%and 63%. Could it be that the youngest has a practical experience with this profession?
Seeing both sides of ranking, several fields to compare the work that is loved and socially hated.
- Wages: Money does not determine whether a profession is hated or loved. Both politicians and doctors get a lot of money, around $ 200,000 per year, while the average teacher salary is between $ 60,000-70,000.
- Education: Doctors, dentists, and teachers are highly educated people. And the same thing applies to politicians. But education can play its role here, as some of the most hated professions, such as influencers, weapons sellers, servants, or telemarketers, do not require higher education.
- Low prestige: Factors that distinguish bad and good jobs. As a practical rule, a profession that is ranked loved is more respected and enjoy a better reputation than what is not liked.
- Stereotype: A loveful profession has a positive stereotype. But on the other hand, when was the last time you heard something positive saying about politicians, used car sales staff, or tax inspectors?
Furthermore, we will explore which jobs we want to have and what they want to avoid.
